Most low-slope roof types can be coated, with the exception of gravel and ballasted. Flat roof coatings can be divided into three categories:
- Acrylic Roof Coatings: A water-based material, these coatings are cost-effective and very easy to work with.
- Polyurethane Roof Coatings: Aromatic Polyurethane- used primarily as a base layer, it has excellent impact resistance. Aliphatic Polyurethane- these coatings are UV resistant and hold onto their appearance/color well.
- Silicone Roof Coatings: EPDM is a synthetic rubberized membrane that is low maintenance, eco-friendly, and highly energy efficient.
