Modified Bitumen Systems (MBS): One of the fastest growing roofing materials in the industry, MBS is considered a “hybrid” roofing system. It combines the extreme tensile strength found in built-up systems with the high expansion and contraction features of the MBS cap sheet.

Built-Up Roofing (BUR): Commonly referred to as “tar and gravel” roofs, these roofing systems have been in use for over 100 years. BUR roofing material is made of bitumen (tar) and ply sheets, or roofing felts.
